It has been too long....

It is time to start blogging again!

Hockey season is upon us, and we’re looking forward to a great year for the Carolina Hurricanes. And my own hockey career is continuing - I recently started playing in the house league associated with the NC Trailblazers - a bunch of really great women here in the Triangle. The team I’m on (white) won its first two games. Yes, I did play, and hopefully contributed at least a tiny little bit to the team’s success.

I took some skating classes to help me learn crossovers and transitions. That was an adventure of its own! I was the only adult in my class - the oldest of my classmates was 8. Yes 8! Five or six little girls with figure skates, and two scrappy little boys in full hockey gear. I got to hang out with the little guys learning mohawks and practicing hockey stops.
